As people noticed, the translation website had gone down.
This happening was not a result of Nintendo or anything like that, but a dispute regarding the host and bandwidth usage. For full information on what happened, you can read this thread in BCL forums.
The new translation website can be found out: http://www.FatalFrame4.net
(Apologies on being slow in adding news lately, trying to get back up to speed) [ ]

So, DUB Project bad news... but let's balance it out with some good news. Translation Project Status! (Of other languages besides English) (Stage 1 = language translation. Stage 2 - testing. Stage 3 - final cleanup/release.)
German Team - Translation (Stage 1) 100% Complete. This team has completed the translation stage and is working on Stage 2.
Akaichou German Team - (Stage 1) ?% Complete A second German translation is being established, and more information can be found at the German Project Zero forum Akaichou.com. :) Please go there for more information or if you wish to help this team.
Brazilian Portuguese Team - (Stage 1) 16% Complete They were having some issues with people using online translators, so while originally at 60%, the team has had to go back and fix a large majority of the files. Wkoch & Nathyz are managing the project.
That's all for now!! :) [ ]

Finally have gotten news from the Fatal Frame IV Dub Project team. Unfortunately, it's probably not news fans would like to hear.
Due to differences within the current group, the project is on hold for a currently undetermined amount of time. (This news coming from the PR rep of the group - it seems the group is splitting into two due to unresolvable differences.)
Concerning the recordings that we reported previously completed, their voice actors have revoked permission and will not be used.
Wanderbard said this concerning the issue: [blockquote] Well, it set us back, definitely, as the leaving members have revoked any right to use their voices. But is it over? Definitely not. I'm currently in the process of recruiting/auditioning new actors. So, while the dub's current release timeframe has been scrubbed, as soon as we have new actors and the recording starts again, we'll post the updated release time.
Thanks for your patience, everyone! -wandererbard
PS. Because I know I'm going to get queries about it: If you are interested in voicing a character, I need you to PM me with what equipment you have. If all you have is a computer mic, the answer is no. We're going for professional quality, and so need professional quality equipment. If your equipment is up to par, we'll go from there. Let me state that there is no guarantee you get a part just because you have the tools. It just means that you get the option of trying out. Thanks again, everyone.[/blockquote]
Neon said regarding the issue: [blockquote]We realize that many fans were looking forward to this project's completion and we don't want to completely dissapoint them. If wandererbard is unable to finish the project by June, please feel free to contact us. We have access to alternative means of recording, and are willing to step in if he is unable to step up. This was "his project" originally, so we feel it would be best to give him the chance to complete it first. [/blockquote] [ ]

If you are having trouble with the patch, please post in the BCL forums and ask for help! Alternatively, you can go to webchat at http://ta.gd/zero4
Now for some updates!
Those with Black Wii's or PAL Wii's having issues with the Patch Aaron has released a new fix for the patch. It doesn't work with the offline method. However, please check the thread linked for information concerning that.
The FF4 English DUB Project Yes, this is being worked on. I have been told that in the next few days there should be a new video up on their youtube account at: http://www.youtube.com/user/TypeZeroFilm So please look forward to it soon! BCL will also post it up here when it is available!
So far, almost all the dialogue for the parts of Madoka Tsukimori and Ayako has been recorded. Most of Misaki Asou's lines are near completion as well. Other characters currently only have one or two lines recorded. A rough completion estimate would be 5-10% according to DUB member.
Translations in Other Languages English is not the only language that the game is being worked on! Several hard working fans are translating other languages which will eventually be available for download on the patch website. So here is a rundown on the projects making progress! (Stage 1 = language translation. Stage 2 - testing. Stage 3 - final cleanup/release.)
Brazilian Portuguese Team - Translation (Stage 1) Status Unknown This translation is in progress, however I have yet to get an update from the team on the status of this project.
Dutch Team - Translation (Stage 1) 0-2% (just formed) This group has just formed and is looking for translators. If you're interested, please consult the thread!
French Team - Translation (Stage 1) About 49.02% Complete. They are hoping for a July 1st release. Overall, they want French fans to know they are working towards a high quality translation and double checking the Japanese and keeping the homogeneity of the series. The translation team is primarily working over at the Project Zero French forums, so please visit there for more information! :)
German Team - Translation (Stage 1) About 91.10% Complete. At this time, there are whisperings/rumors of a second possible German translation group, but I was unable to get a confirmation on this for this news update.
Italian Team - Translation (Stage 1) 20% Complete I want to point out this team just started and formed. It has made huge leaps and bounds so far. They're still open to members joining and are hoping to keep up their rate of progress.
Spanish Team - Translation (Stage 1) 100% (Stage 2) - 0% Slow progress due to translators being unavailable. Orion does mention that he still is working on image files and work he can do at this stage. More help with technical work would be appreciated!
If you are looking to translate the game in language not listed, please check out the translation board for more information. [ ]

So, you've downloaded the patch, you've got your patch, and you've got your wii. But for SOME REASON... you're one of the poor souls having trouble. Not to worry! Your fellow fans are here to help you out!.
1. I am getting the error "Insert your Fatal Frame 4 game disc"? Are you running a RETAIL version of Fatal Frame 4? The patch will not work on backups or copies. This error comes up if you're doing so. (Or if you simply haven't inserted the game disc yet).
2. I am having trouble with the Offline Installer? A newer version of the patch has been released to help fix the problem. (Windows Vista & Windows 7 were being buggy) http://www.cameraslens.com/forum/index.php?topic=8728.0
3. Help! I have a PAL Wii, and the game runs fine, but everything is in black and white! (or you are having other issues with your PAL wii) http://www.cameraslens.com/forum/index.php?topic=8730.0
4. Still having trouble? Check out the troubleshooting thread: http://www.cameraslens.com/forum/index.php?topic=8725.0
