Ryozo Munakata & his family moved into the mansion for Ryozo to work on research on ancient cult rituals within the area. He hoped that the fresh air would do his daughter Mikoto some good. Things seem to be going well for the small family, until one day Mikoto disappears while playing demon tag with friends.

Yae is the wife of Ryozo. While living in the house, her daughter Mikoto finds a camera. The only child of Ryozo & Yae Munakata. She seemed to be occasionally ill before the Munakata's came to live at the Himuro Mansion. A little while later, Mikoto and several of her other friends mysteriously disappeared while playing demon tag. Mikoto was found days later after her parents' deaths with no memory of what happened to her.

Masoto is the father of Miku & Mafuyu and wife of Miyuki. He's not mentioned in the game, rather on the Official Japanese website & novelization for the game. Masoto was an archeologist who died under 'strange circumstances' during one of his expeditions.
